I was reading the blog of my one friend who still posts regularly tonight. She is a beautiful writer and God has laid it on her heart to share words of wisdom. I am so thankful she has faithfully answered his call. For most of us these blogs were just the thing we all did for a little while a few years ago, but for her I believe it's truly something more a gift for us, maybe a gift for her as well. I know the power of the written word... I hope she gets as much from writing it as I often do reading it.
So there along the edge was the link to this, my own lonely little blog. I enjoyed it for a time, before time got away. And some things happened that I didn't really want to share, then some things happened that I sort of wanted to share but didn't want to seem like bragging, then some more things happened that sort of rocked us for a while and I really didn't know how to share.
So I clicked the link and discovered my last post was in January 2013. And here it is almost 2015. And I decided I just couldn't let ALL of 2014 go by without a post.
So I don't know what will happened next year, really none of us do. Maybe God will lay words on my heart to share, maybe there will be silly stories that I just want to put some place so I remember them, maybe not. Maybe my blog will sit abandoned for another year as life's seasons continue to change.
But in the meantime. Here is a toast. A toast to all that happened in 2014. A toast to remembering that God uses all things for his good. And a toast to Amanda Schrieber. Go read her blog I'm still clay. The link is in the sidebar.
