Its too cold out 'ere!

I've noticed lately that Max has a slightly british sound to him because he doesn't pronounce the "h" at the beginnings of words. Today's example was the phrase: Its too cold out here.

Max had the opportunity to say it repeatedly while we tried to view the Mount Clemens Ice Festival sculptures with the Kirks. We bundled all up and met Aron, Erica & Belle in downtown Mt. Clemens. Promptly upon getting out of the car Max pronounced "Its too cold out 'ere." He repeated the phrase about every 45 seconds. Belle seemed to be in general agreement. We tried some hot chocolate at a warming station but we only lasted about 30 minutes in the bitter cold.

We headed back home for the prospect of more hot chocolate, coffee, chili and warm cookies. Max & Belle had a great playdate. They played with little people, had cookies and milk at a Spiderman table, and got to play in Nate's loft.

Nate was totally out to impress Aron and constantly called him to "come see" a variety of things (like a box of hot wheels, how far Nate could jump, how fast Nate could run). Aron was a very good sport and did seem to enjoy himself, especially with the nerf guns.

We had a great time just relaxing and getting to know the Kirks a bit better. It was definitely too cold outside, but inside it was a warm, cozy time with some new friends.

(This was my favorite ice sculpture. It had frozen chocolate truffles in it!)
