This afternoon's "hey Mom, I have something to show you" is in the gross, rather than dangerous category. So consider yourself warned before you scroll down and see the picture.
I was making a dessert for home group, when Nate & Max came running it. "Hey Mom, I have something to show you!" Nate exclaimed and Max echo'ed. I explained I didn't have time to look and asked what it was. Nate said "I really just want to show you." So I said "Can you please just tell me?" So I on his way back out the door Nate said "There is a squirrel in the pool." "Wait," I said. "Is it dead or alive?" Nate said "I'm pretty sure its dead" and headed back out the door, that's when I noticed a stick in his hand. So I got to say something I never have before: "Don't poke the dead squirrel in the pool with the stick!" Nate assured me he had not touched the squirrel.
Then I sent Derek out to deal with the situtation. My husband must love me and this blog because he decided we needed a picture.

*This is a list of things I've actually been called to see, except the blackened scissors. Derek found those along with damaged extension cord on his own last week. When confronted with the scissors Nate said. "Oh that must have happened during all the sparks!" I'm glad I didn't see it and I'm even more glad that God is watching out for him!

Ummm ... ew
Yikes, wonder how that happened. And yes, I am so glad Nate has God on his side.
Gross...and poor little guy, guess he could've used some swim lessons.
I agree with Kelly...glad Nate has God on his side!
