This morning I woke to a nice surprise. I heard someone get up and go downstairs and out into the garage. (Where the refrigerator is still currently located). Then come back in, then go back out, then come back in. After a little bit of rattling, it was quiet for awhile. Then someone came back up the stairs. Then I felt the sensation that someone is watching you- so I opened my eyes. Nate was standing there. He asked me- "Do you know where a tray is?" Being that I'm still a bit groggy from only about 14 hours sleep for the entire weekend. I responded with "huh?" Nate's response: "A tray! You know, like if you want to bring someone breakfast in bed?" Since I don't currently know where anything kitchen related is, I suggested the lid to a storage container. Nate's response: "I already tried that- its too tippy." So I got up and helped him find a tray- then I was sent back to bed. A few minutes later, Nate came upstairs with the tray which held 2 bowls of very soggy cereal (apparently the milk was poured before the tray hunt began), 2 slices of bread (not toasted), 2 cheese sticks & 2 spoons.
What a perfect breakfast! Although I'm a bit jealous because Derek got 1/2 raisin bran, 1/2 Reese's peanut butter puffs and I only got the peanut butter puffs. Nate's logic to Daddy: "I know you like raisin bran best and I thought it would be a nice surprise to hide it under the peanut butter puffs." Indeed!
The weekend was wonderful. The kids all had a great time doing their own things. (I'll be doing a post for each of them within the next couple days to tell you their adventures.)
I completed 50 new pages for the boys scrapbooks. That's not as many as I would typically get done in a full weekend of scrapbooking but this time we took a lot more breaks and just relaxed and enjoyed our selves rather than stressing about completing projects. I'm glad we took a more relaxed approach. One of the girls mentioned a Scrapbook Bed & Breakfast! That sounds wonderful too!

How sweet of Nate to bring you breakfast in bed! :)
Congrats on getting so much done on the scrapbooks! I can't wait to hear about the rest of the weekend
Totally jealous that I couldn't come to the fun.
Who was there? Was it fun? Did ya miss me?
And, oh, breakfast in bed. How very sweet.
